Privacy policy

PlanV Software operates this website at planvsoftware.com. This policy explains what we collect when you visit the site or contact us, how we use it, and who else sees it. It applies to the site itself, not to the engagements we run with clients, which are governed by the agreements we sign with each client.

What we collect

Contact form submissions. When you submit the form at /contact, we receive your name, email address, message, and company (if you fill that field in). Submissions are handled by Formspree and routed to our inbox.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used in aggregate: which pages people visit, where they arrive from, how long they stay, and basic device and browser information. GA4 sets cookies on your device and uses your IP address to approximate your region. We do not link analytics data to individual visitors and we do not use it for advertising.

Server logs. Our hosting provider, Vercel, keeps standard request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp, URL) for the usual operational reasons: serving the site, debugging, and protecting against abuse.

We do not collect any data we have not described here. We do not run advertising trackers, social-media pixels, or session-replay tools on this site.

How we use it

We use form submissions to reply to your inquiry and, where the conversation leads to an engagement, to keep a record of the introduction. We use analytics to see what is working on the site and where to improve. We use server logs to keep the site running and to investigate problems.

Who else sees it

The site relies on a small number of vendors, each handling a narrow piece of the work:

• Formspree processes contact-form submissions and forwards them to us.
• Google Analytics 4 receives the analytics signals described above.
• Vercel hosts the site and produces the request logs described above.
• Google Fonts serves the Geist and Geist Mono typefaces. When your browser loads a page, Google sees the standard request metadata required to deliver the font file.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not transfer it to anyone outside the vendors listed above, except where required by law.

Cookies and tracking

The only first-party state we keep on your device is what GA4 sets to identify a returning visit in aggregate. You can block or clear these cookies through your browser settings. Google publishes an official Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout that disables GA4 across all sites.

Retention

We keep contact-form submissions for as long as the conversation is active and for a reasonable period afterwards in case the thread is picked back up. Analytics data is retained per GA4’s default policy. Server logs are retained per Vercel’s default policy.

If you would like us to delete the records we hold about you, email contact@planvsoftware.com and we will do so, subject to any records we are required to keep.

Where data is processed

PlanV Software has leadership in the United States and a build team in Vietnam. Our website vendors operate globally. Depending on which page you load and which form you submit, your data may be processed in either country or in regions where our vendors run their infrastructure.

Children

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of thirteen.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of the page. Material changes will be flagged at the top of the page for a reasonable period.
